How it all started

After a lifetime experience in most water- and wind-sports and a career in the (corporate-) business world and high-end jewelry business I have followed my passion for water sports and decided to bring all my experience to professional use.

As a RYA Yachtmaster Ocean Sail & Power qualified skipper with over 75.000nm offshore experience, I managed to set a new standard of deliveries, with dedicated, highly experienced crew. Now, almost 15 years of worldwide deliveries later, I am proud The Yacht Delivery Company is the qualitative number 1 delivery company of Europe.

Next to The Yacht Delivery Company I'm founder and managing director of Beter Varen, a company who offers assisted 'maiden trips' and private instruction on all levels and types and size power- or sail boat, yacht or catamaran.

Highly experienced
Every delivery is handled by a skipper with a minimum qualification of Yachtmaster Ocean. All with many thousands of nautical miles worldwide delivery experience, gained on a broad variety of sailing areas, types and sizes yacht or catamaran.

Together with our highly qualified and experienced crew they are able to fix most small issues themselves during the passage.

We keep good pace and weather allowing keep going 24/7, but to keep wear and tear to a minimum our teams sail or motor your vessel conservatively.
After pre-selecting the skipper and crew for your delivery we'll send you their maritime CV and location for your approval.

We make sure the teams get to and from the boat efficiently with minimum travel costs and much more.

The Yacht Delivery Company offers the service of following the progress of your vessel during deliveries from the comfort of your chair at home. From the moment we leave the marina until we reach our destination, you can 24/7 follow the progress of the delivery via your personal track & trace on our website.

Short after delivery, you receive a full delivery report summarising issues, fixes and recommendations, together with a specified expense report with the variable costs related to your delivery.

Since we started in 2010 our office has given weather, routing and technical support to our teams at sea during hundreds of yacht deliveries worldwide.

This gained us experience with solving pretty much any kind of technical issue. Our office helps getting parts to the boat efficiently or brings our skipper in contact with a local specialist or engineer.

And, last but not least, we assist them from shore with customs- or other paperwork with the authorities.
It's important to us you feel 100% comfortable with our services. With pleasure we guide you through the whole process: how we work, the estimated planning and which information or documents we need from you.

During the passage our office pro-actively keeps you informed with personal updates during the passage. From our teams boarding until arrival at the destination port.

You are welcome on board to join (part of) the passage as passenger or crew.
